How to Open First Abu Dhabi Bank Account in 5 Minutes

The FAB bank is famous in the UAE. It is a renowned bank because of its verification process and digital security. Normal people think it is a marketing line for opening a bank account in just five minutes.

But the reality is, it is possible now with FBA. It requires fewer documents. The users do not need to stand in long lines. The required data matches within a few seconds with the system.

Steps to Follow

Open the Play Store on your mobile phone and install the FAB app. Open it and click on the Join FAB button. On the next page, select the Accounts option. Type your UAE mobile number or email address.
You will receive an OTP on your mobile number. Enter the OTP number and click on the continue button. You will receive another OTP on your given email. Enter the OTP, and it will move you to the next page.

Now you have details about yourself. First of all, select your nationality, employment status, monthly salary, your area, and the nearest FBA branch.
The next page will show you a ‘personal savings account’. Read all details carefully. It contains the eligibility, feature, and debit card daily limit.

Next, you have to verify your Emirates ID. Scan it from both sides. Next, enter your employment details.

Common Issues That Stop Users from Opening an Account

Emirates ID not updated

Your identity is directly interlinked with the government database. If your Emirate ID has old information, such as mobile number, address, and an expired ID, the systems will reject your application. This is not a common problem.

SIM not registered under the applicant’s name

Many of us use the number that is registered under other names. The OTP is mandatory in the FAB app. The bank system accepts the number that matches your Emirates ID. If SIM is not registered on your card, the data will not be matched.

Poor lighting in the facial scan

The app required a proper facial scan. Low lighting, an ambiguous camera will fail your scanning system. If scanning fails twice or the third time, they put the application in manual review.

Mismatched personal data

A tiny difference in your Emirates ID can fail your account creation. For example, date of birth, wrong passport number, and name spellings. FBA depends upon the data.

Salary threshold issues

Salary is required for some FBA accounts. If you comply with this, your application will be rejected by the system.
