FAB Balance Check Not Working: common problems & solutions?

It seems easy to check the balance of the FAB account, Ratibi Card, or any other prepaid card. But in reality, the user has to face many challenges. Sometimes the portal does not open.

Often card ID is not accepted, and the balance is not updated. All these problems do not have only one reason. It could be technical, security, and user-side errors.

Technical Issues from the FAB Side

This is a common issue in the FAB system. It occurs when the server is under maintenance. This error is not by the users, but it is on the bank side to update the system.

In such a situation, the portal does not open. It takes time while loading, or it shows service unavailable. Maintenance is mostly done at night.

Some methods can help you recognize when a server is down.

The portal is opening, but repeatedly showing an error.

The FAB mobile app is not working.

ATM balance inquiry takes a long time.

All users are claiming the same complaint.

Portal Not Loading or Timing Out

The second big problem is not opening the FAB portal. The issue is not caused by the server being down. Sometimes users’ mobile phones have such issues because of the mobile browser and a slow internet connection.

In such cases, you are opening the account through public Wi-Fi or VPN. It blocks security filter links. The best solution is to clear the cache and cookies. Use Firefox or Safari instead of Chrome. Switch off the VPN, change Wi-Fi, and restart your mobile or laptop.

User-side Errors

Sometimes small errors occur due to users’ mistakes. These mistakes include entering the wrong card ID, typing the wrong last digit, and entering the expired date of the card. It is important to understand the problem and its solution.

Wrong Card ID Entered

This issue is common when entering the wrong card ID. It is mostly done by typing mistakes, spaces, sequence of numbers.

The solution is to put the card in front of you while opening the account. Do not type the wrong number or space in the box. If your card is damaged, you can change it by contacting FAB customer care.

Incorrect Last Two Digits

The FAB portal checks the user by the last two digits. Such steps of verification are necessary for user security.

The simple solution is, always see the last two digits of your card. Type the correct digits; otherwise, systems will show you the balance.

Expired or Blocked Card

The portal does not accept expired Ratibi or prepaid cards. The users face an error because of an old card or the wrong use of it.

A quick solution for it is to verify the card before using it. If your card is blocked, then you can get a new one so that you can check your balance.

Mobile App Issues

FAB Mobile App Not Logging In

The wrong credentials caused failure to log in to the account. The user types its wrong password or PIN or tries to enter the old credentials. The latest mobile phones have a biometric login feature. Sometimes this biometric feature fails.

The solution is to check your credentials twice. Make sure they are correct. If problems occur consistently, use the reset login or install the app again.

No Real-time Balance Update

The balance does not update after logging in to the app. This issue occurs because of slow internet. The app is not able to quickly show transactions.

The solution is to refresh your app. If your network is slow, change your mobile data or Wi-Fi.

Card-related Problems

Damaged or Scratched Card ID

If your card ID is damaged or ambiguous, the FBA portal cannot read it. The user types the card ID, and it shows an invalid card ID.

The best solution is to change the card through FAB customer service. The user has to apply for a new card. The new card numbers will be showing properly.

Salary Not Yet Uploaded

You receive the salary into your account, but it does not appear quickly in the account. This is a technical issue, such as banking processing or leave days in banks.

The users must verify with their employer about their salary. Sometimes it takes time to load in the portal.

Card Not Activated

A new Ratibi or prepaid card does not activate quickly. The process of activation takes time. The transaction is incomplete until the card is activated.

The solution is to check the activation status through the FAB official website helpline. You can request activation of your card.
